DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE

PRESENTS THE
DECORATION FOR EXCEPTIONAL CIVILIAN SERVICE

TO

ARNOLD E. RESNICOFF

CITATION:

Rabbi Arnold E. Resnicoff distinguished
himself in the performance of outstanding service
as Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force and
Chief of Staff of the Air Force, The Pentagon, Washington,
District of Columbia, from 27 June 2005 to 27 June 2006.
During this period, his outstanding leadership, strategic
vision, and ceaseless efforts resulted in major contributions
to the success of the Air Force.  Rabbi Resnicoff skillfully
guided the development of the Interim Religious Guidelines
and became the face of the Air Force in responding to
national media inquiries.  He continually found effective
ways to get the Air Force message out, to include a highly
successful meeting between the Secretary and the leadership
of ten influential religious groups.  His professional
reputation for excellence is well known throughout the Air
Force and Department of Defense.  This reputation and his
enthusiasm made him ideally suited to lead the Secretary's
new Core Values Initiative, traveling to five MAJCOM
Headquarters and ten countries across the globe to brief key
Air Force leaders.  His vision included an Air Force review of
its warfighting culture and, for the first time ever, a Joint
Service Core Values Workshop.  This resulted in renewed
progress in the drive to inculcate core values into decision
making at every level.  The singularly distinctive
accomplishments of Rabbi Resnicoff reflect grat credit upon
himself and the United States Air Force.
